Colaiacovo struck in face by puck again, expected to miss two weeks

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues defenceman Carlo Colaiacovo was placed on injured reserve after being struck in the face by a puck for the second straight game.

Colaiacovo was struck near the left eye in a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The team said Wednesday he's expected to be out at least two weeks.

Colaiacovo missed two starts after getting struck just above the mouth at Anaheim on Jan. 12.

Colaiacovo has four goals and 16 points in 36 games.

Defenceman Ian Cole, a first-round pick in 2007, was recalled from Peoria of the AHL for the fourth time this season. Cole has 21 penalty minutes in 11 games for St. Louis this season.
