Columbus Blue Jackets activate left wing Fredrik Modin

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Fredrik Modin off injured reserve and sent right wing Derek Dorsett to the minors.

Modin has a groin injury. The 34-year-old has three assists in five games this year.

The 21-year-old Dorsett had a goal, an assist and 56 penalty minutes in 10 games this season.

He leads the NHL in penalty minutes and scored his first NHL goal - the game winner - against Vancouver on Oct. 21.
