Columbus Blue Jackets activate right-winger Jared Boll off injured reserve
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated right wing Jared Boll off injured reserve after he missed the team's first 14 games with a broken thumb.
He had suffered the injury during a pre-season game.
The 25-year-old gives the club, which has the worst record in the NHL, a little more of an edge. He had 182 penalty minutes—seventh in the NHL—in 73 games a year ago. He also had a career-high seven goals and five assists.
The move was announced by general manager Scott Howson on Thursday.
