Columbus Blue Jackets activate veteran forward Ethan Moreau off injured list

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left-winger Ethan Moreau off injured reserve after he missed the past 17 games with a broken hand.

General manager Scott Howson announced the move on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old Moreau, claimed off waivers from Edmonton on June 30, was injured Oct. 20 against Anaheim. He has one goal and one assist in five games with the Blue Jackets. In 868 career NHL games, he has collected 146 goals and 133 assists with Chicago, Edmonton and Columbus.
