Columbus Blue Jackets take left-winger Chimera off injured list

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets activated left-winger Jason Chimera off injured reserve Friday.

The move came less than a month after he underwent surgery to repair a groin injury.

The 29-year-old Chimera missed the last 16 games and has sat out 33 games this season after missing just one in the previous three seasons. He's scheduled to play Saturday against the Predators in Nashville.

Chimera has eight goals and 13 assists in 44 games this season.
