The Athletic interviewed some players to get their reactions to the new collective bargaining agreement. What I found interesting is that the change to an 84-game regular season and the shortened pre-season had some mixed opinions. One player said it was by far the most contentious topic in negotiations, while another said the shorter pre-season will make it tougher for younger players to earn their spot in the lineup.
What do you think? Was everything all right as it was, or is the shorter pre-season and longer regular season the better option?
