Cory Schneider makes 42 saves as Moose down Rivermen 3-2 in AHL action

WINNIPEG - Cory Schneider made 42 saves as the Manitoba Moose beat the Peoria Rivermen 3-2 in American Hockey League play Friday.

Jordan Schroeder, Yan Stastny and Mario Bliznak scored for Manitoba (39-33-7), while Mike Keane added two assists. Julian Talbot and Tyson Strachan replied for Peoria (38-33-8), which got 20 saves from goaltender Joe Fallon in defeat.

Peoria finished 1-for-3 on the man advantage, while Manitoba was 0-for-3.

The Moose are one point back of third-place Abbotsford Heat in the AHL's North Division. Manitoba has one game left in the regular season, while the Heat have two.
