Coyotes forward Patrick Fischer out at least six weeks after surgery

Fischer has been in and out of the lineup since December with a groin injury. The surgery was performed Wednesday in Philadelphia, team officials said.

Fischer has four goals and six assists this season in 27 games with the Coyotes. The 31-year-old Swiss native signed with Phoenix in May. He has been placed on injured reserve.
