Coyotes re-sign defenceman Keith Yandle to two-year deal

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have signed defenseman Keith Yandle to a two-year contract.

Financial terms weren't disclosed Thursday. The 22-year-old Yandle had four goals and 26 assists in 69 games with Phoenix last season. His 30 points were second most among Coyotes defenceman. Yandle was Phoenix's fourth-round pick, the 105th choice overall, in the 2005 draft.

The Coyotes are making moves for next season despite their shaky financial situation. The NHL is funding the club while ownership issues are worked out in bankruptcy court.
