Coyotes recall defencemen from AHL affiliate before playoff opener at Detroit

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled defencemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Nolan Yonkman from the minors as they get ready to open their first-round playoff series Wednesday at Detroit.

The 19-year-old Ekman-Larsson has one goal and 10 assists in 48 games as a rookie this season with Phoenix. In 15 games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage, he has three goals and seven assists.

Yonkman has played in 16 games for Phoenix with one assist and 39 penalty minutes. He had one goal, four assists and 104 penalty minutes in 56 games at San Antonio.
