Coyotes recall former Miami of Ohio scoring star Andy Miele from Portland of AHL

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes recalled centre Andy Miele from Portland of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Miele, the NCAA scoring leader last season for Miami of Ohio with 71 points (24 goals, 47 assists) in 39 games, had three goals and four assists in four games this season for Portland.

On Wednesday night, he had two goals and three assists in the Pirates' 5-3 victory over Manchester.

The Coyotes resume play Sunday night at Anaheim.
