Coyotes sign goaltender Tellqvist and centre Zigomanis to two-year contracts

Zigomanis, 26, would have been an unrestricted free agent after the season while Tellqvist, 27, would have been a restricted free agent. Zigomanis has set career-highs with 10 goals, seven assists and 34 penalty minutes in 52 games so far this season. The six-foot-one, 200-pounder is also seventh in the NHL in face-off wins at 56.9 per cent.

Tellqvist is 9-7-2 with a 3.22 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage in 19 games with Phoenix since coming over in a trade with the Maple Leafs earlier this season.

In 58 career NHL games with Toronto and Phoenix, Tellqvist has posted a 25-22-2-4 record with a 3.10 GAA.
