Dadonov, Gratchev score in shootout as Rochester beats Hamilton 4-3

HAMILTON, Ont. - Evgeny Dadonov and Maxime Gratchev scored in the shootout, Tyler Plante stoned four Bulldogs shooters and the Rochester Americans beat Hamilton 4-3 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Hamilton's Brock Trotter scored with 50 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at three, but the Western Conference leaders couldn't get any further.

After a scoreless first period, both teams traded shots in a five-goal second period.

Jamie Johnson, Graham Mink and David Brine each scored for the Americans (43-31-3).

Dany Masse and David Desharnais added singles for Hamilton (50-16-10).

Plante made 30 saves for the win, while Bulldogs netminder Cedrick Desjardins stopped 21 shots.
