Defenceman Matt Lashoff re-signs with Tampa Bay Lightning

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning say they have re-signed defenceman Matt Lashoff to a two-year contract.

General manager Brian Lawton made the announcement Friday. Lashoff was acquired in a trade that sent Mark Recchi to Boston last season.

The 22-year-old has appeared in 58 career NHL games with the Lightning and Bruins. He played in 12 games with Tampa Bay last season, finishing with no goals and seven assists.
