Desjardins stops 32 shots, Hamilton earns 500th win with 3-0 shutout of Lake Erie

CLEVELAND - Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stopped 32 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Hamilton Bulldogs downed the Lake Erie Monsters 3-0 in AHL action Saturday.

David Desharnais, Ryan Russell and Brock Trotter scored in a span of 2:52 late in the second period to pace the Bulldogs (13-6-4), who recorded the 500th regular-season win in franchise history.

Trevor Cann stopped 19 shots for the Monsters (7-13-2), who lost to Hamilton for the second straight day.
