Don't overreact in fight debate

I am getting sick and tired of people calling for a ban on fighting in the NHL.

A player could get seriously injured from anything on the ice. Two players did get seriously hurt from a blade cutting them (Dan Boyle and Richard Zednik).

Fighting has been in the game since the NHL started and there have been very few serious injuries. Fighting is part of the game and although an injury could happen, you cannot take out every part of the game that could cause an injury or there will be nothing left.

There is a good history of safety in the NHL; the league cannot change the rules because of one tragedy that occurred throughout more than 100 years of play.
