Ducks acquire Sutherby from Caps for second round pick

ANAHEIM — The Anaheim Ducks acquired centre Brian Sutherby from the Washington Capitals on Monday in exchange for a 2009 second-round draft pick.

Sutherby, 25, had one goal in five games this season. The Edmonton native has 61 points (26-35) and 281 penalty minutes in 259 career NHL games. He's earning $800,000 (U.S.) this season and will be a restricted free agent July 1.
