Ducks eyeing sixth straight home win vs. Rangers

ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Before heading out on a

five-game road trip, the Anaheim Ducks will look to continue

their dominance at "The Pond."

The Ducks are seeking their sixth consecutive home victory

Tuesday when they host the New York Rangers.

Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Brendan Morrison and Bobby Ryan

scored Sunday as the Ducks handed the Minnesota Wild their fifth

consecutive loss with a 4-2 triumph.

Defenseman Chris Pronger and Chris Kunitz notched two assists

apiece for Anaheim, which owns a 10-6-2 record at home this

season.

The Rangers bring some momentum across the country after

defeating the Carolina Hurricanes, 3-2, in a shootout on

Saturday.

Henrik Lunqvist turned away five shooters and Chris Drury scored

the lone goal in the bonus format for New York, which has a

league-high eight wins in the shootout this season.

Lundqvist, who made 29 saves before the shootout, is 17-9-2 with

a 2.54 goals-against average and .913 save percentage on the

season. He is yet to have a shutout this campaign after posting

10 blankings in 2007-08.
