Ducks' Hiller looks to stymie Oilers
Anaheim (17-12-3) at Edmonton (14-14-2), 9:00 p.m. EST
EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Backup goaltender Jonas Hiller
will start his second straight contest when the Anaheim Ducks
begin a five-game road trip against the Edmonton Oilers on
Friday.
Hiller made 27 saves in Tuesday's 3-1 loss against the New York
Rangers in place of starter Jean-Sebastien Giguere, whose father
died on Monday.
Giguere is expected to rejoin the team ahead of Monday's game in
Vancouver.
After going 5-0-0 with two shutouts in seven games in November,
Hiller has struggled a bit lately, posting a 2.46 goals-against
average in losing all four of his starts in December.
The Oilers, meanwhile, have won only two of their last nine
games (2-5-2) at home, including a 9-2 drubbing by the Chicago
Blackhawks on Tuesday. One night later, Edmonton lost for the
third time in four games, dropping a 4-2 decision at Vancouver.
