Ducks Sign Newly Acquired Drew Helleson to Contract
That didn't take long.
A day after getting traded by the Colorado Avalanche for Josh Manson, defensive prospect Drew Helleson has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks.
More of a defensive defenseman, Helleson showed some impressive offensive numbers in his third season with Boston College, potting four goals and 25 points in 32 games.
Helleson was added to USA's Olympic team and had an assist in three games for a small role with the team. Helleson won gold at the 2021 World Junior Championship in the same year that he became a two-time Hockey East champion.
