Eager returns for Blackhawks after missing last 13 games; Toews also back

CHICAGO - Left-wing Ben Eager was activated from injured reserve Monday by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Eager, 13th in the NHL with 161 penalty minutes last season, played in the Blackhawks' first two games this season before missing the last 13 with a concussion.

Centre Jonathan Toews also was back on the ice for Monday's game against Los Angeles after missing the previous six contests with a concussion. Chicago's captain and best face-off man, Toews had a goal and four assists this season. He scored a team-high 34 goals in 2008-09.
