
He joined the Red Wings in 1953 and helped the team capture back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1954-55 and 1955-56. Reibel finished in the top 10 in NHL scoring in each of his first three years and won the Lady Byng Trophy in the 1956-57 season.
He was the only player to dethrone Gordie Howe as the Red Wings' top scorer between 1950 and 1964, beating him by four points in 1954-55.
Reibel was traded to Chicago in 1957 and played for the Boston Bruins the following season before his NHL career ended.
