Edmonton Oilers place defenceman Sheldon Souray on injured reserve
EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers placed defenceman Sheldon Souray on the injured reserve list Wednesday with a left shoulder injury.
He aggravating the injury during a game against Florida last Thursday. He left that game after the first period and missed the Oilers' game against San Jose on Tuesday night.
A team spokesman said Souray was day to day.
Souray has missed a total of 27 games due to the injury this season. He originally suffered a second degree sprain of his left shoulder during a game at Vancouver on October 13th.
Souray has three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 26 games this season.
