Edmonton Oilers recall defenceman Bryan Rodney from AHL's Barons

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers recalled defenceman Bryan Rodney on an emergency basis from the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons on Monday.

Rodney will be making his Oilers debut after being acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. in exchange for Ryan O'Marra.

Edmonton was in Los Angeles for a game against the Kings on Monday night.

Rodney has a goal and eight assists in 21 games for the Barons.

He appeared in 33 career NHL games with the Hurricanes, scoring once and adding 12 assists.
