Ellis makes 36 saves for first pro shutout as Salmon Kings silence Thunder 4-0

It was Ellis' first professional shutout as well as the first for the Salmon Kings this season. Kiel McLeod scored what ended up being the winner with a minute remaining in the first period. Derek Krestanovich fed McLeod for a breakaway down the right wing, and he finished the play by beating Thunder goalie Cam Ellsworth high to the glove side.

Victoria (21-29-0-1) scored twice more in the second period as Mike Stutzel grabbed a rebound behind the Thunder goal and stuffed in a wraparound on Ellsworth for his 10th goal of the season.

Jordan Krestanovich made it 3-0 after batting in the carom of a shot taken by Wes Goldie.

Marc-Andre Bernier added a shorthanded goal with 24 seconds remaining in the match.

Ellsworth finished with 23 saves in net for Stockton (21-15-4-5).

The Salmon Kings converted one of four power-play chances, while Stockton was unable to score on six chances.
