Evan Oberg scores twice as Moose rally to beat Rivermen 4-3 in AHL season opener

PEORIA, Ill. - Moose defenceman Evan Oberg scored twice as Manitoba rallied to beat the Peoria Rivermen 4-3 in American Hockey League action Friday night.

Victor Oreskovich and Kevin Connauton also scored for the Moose (1-0-0), who scored three unanswered goals in the third.

Graham Mink scored a hat trick for the Rivermen (0-1-0).

Oberg opened the scoring 3:13 into the first period on the power play, but Mink scored in the first, second and third periods to give Peoria a 3-1 lead.

Oreskovich kick-started the comeback at 5:25 in the third. Oberg scored his second at 11:15 and Connauton sealed the win four minutes later.

Manitoba goaltender Tyler Weiman made 30 saves for the win, while at the other end Ben Bishop stopped 29 shots.
