Am I missing something? What’s with all the talk about making the nets bigger to increase scoring?

How does a high scoring game equate to a more exciting game? Have you ever seen a high scoring soccer game? It’s the most popular game in the world!

Does anyone else see a close 1-0 game with shots ringing off the posts as exciting? Am I the only one who hears the crowd roar when the puck goes off the post in a close game? What am I missing?

Leave the game alone. It's watered down so much that it's barely competitive and is reflected with empty arenas.
