Flames acquire winger Bourque from Blackhawks for conditional second-rounder

CALGARY - The Calgary Flames acquired winger Rene Bourque from the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional second-round draft choice.

"Rene is a young player with size who will play in our top nine forwards," Flames GM Darryl Sutter said in a release. "He will be an important part of the remaking of our left side along with other young players already under contract."

Bourque, a 26-year-old native of Lac La Biche, Alta., had 24 points in 62 games with the Blackhawks last season.

The six-foot-three, 213-pounder has 75 points (33-42) in 183 career regular-season games.
