Flames call news conference, expected to name Keenan as new head coach

Sources told The Canadian Press on Wednesday night that Iron Mike was the Flames new man. The source said current Flames coach Jim Playfair will remain in the organization.

Keenan will join his eighth NHL franchise as either a coach or general manager.

He was the head coach of the New York Rangers when they won the Stanley Cup in 1994.
