Flames continue road trip against Rangers

Calgary (15-10-1) at NY Rangers (18-9-2), 7:30 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames are heating up.

The Flames will go for their seventh win over their last nine

games when they face the New York Rangers on Sunday.

The Rangers mark Calgary's second stop on its four-game road

trip. Defenseman Dion Phaneuf had four assists Friday as the

Flames posted a 4-3 overtime triumph over the St. Louis Blues.

Phaneuf continues to be a force on the power play, notching a

point on the man advantage in four of his last five contests.

The 23-year-old has three goals and 20 points on the season.

New York is having a tough time putting teams away in

regulation. The Rangers are 7-4-0 in their last 11, but have

just two wins without the benefit of a shootout during that

stretch.

Currently holding a four-point edge in the Atlantic Division,

New York will attempt to bounce back from one of its worst

performances.

Markus Naslund and Nigel Dawes scored for the Rangers, who were

thrashed, 6-2, by the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
