Flames Send Michael McNiven to Senators for Future Considerations
The Calgary Flames have sent Michael McNiven to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for future considerations three weeks after acquiring him through the same method.
McNiven played no games for the Flames after the team got him from Montreal. McNiven played part of one game for the Canadiens and struggled with AHL Laval before getting moved. McNiven has an all-time AHL record of 31-35-13 while with the Canadiens organization and a 10-13-3 record with four shutouts in the AHL.
McNiven is simply an AHL piece for the time being, joining a system that already has Mads Sogaard and Kevin Mandolese, two 21-year-old prospects, tending the crease.
