Flyers aim for eighth straight home win

Toronto (16-19-6) at Philadelphia (22-10-9), 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- For two months, the Philadelphia Flyers

have been nearly unbeatable at the Wachovia Center.

The Flyers will try to continue that trend Saturday, when they

host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Scottie Upshall had a goal and an assist and Martin Biron made

27 saves to lead Philadelphia to its seventh straight home win,

a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.

The Flyers have not lost in regulation in the "City of Brotherly

Love" since November 8, posting an 11-0-2 home record over that

stretch.

Philadelphia will be challenged by a team it hasn't had much

success against recently. The Maple Leafs have won the last

three meetings between the Eastern Conference teams, including a

4-2 triumph on November 29 in their lone matchup this season.

The rest of the NHL has given Toronto plenty of problems lately.

The Maple Leafs have lost six of their last eight contests.

Matt Stajan and defenseman Tomas Kaberle scored in Thursday's

6-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
