Flyers aim for fourth straight win vs. Penguins

Pittsburgh (16-9-4) at Philadelphia (15-7-6), 1:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- After a dramatic comeback win, the

Philadelphia Flyers will try to avoid a letdown and continue

their dominance at the Wachovia Center against the Pittsburgh

Penguins on Saturday.

Simon Gagne tied the game late in regulation and scored the

decisive goal in the shootout as the Flyers rallied from a

four-goal deficit in the third period Thursday and posted a 6-5

triumph over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Scott Hartnell recorded his fourth career hat trick and Scottie

Upshall also tallied for Philadelphia, which improved to 11-1-3

in its last 15 games and 6-0-2 in its last eight at home.

Jeff Carter and defenseman Andrew Alberts notched two assists

apiece and Antero Niittymaki made 26 saves for the Flyers, who

have played in five straight one-goal contests - including four

that went beyond regulation.

The Penguins are hoping to put together back-to-back wins for

the first time in nearly a month. Petr Sykora and Pascal Dupuis

recorded their first career hat tricks Thursday as Pittsburgh

snapped a three-game losing streak with a 9-2 thrashing of the

New York Islanders.

Captain Sidney Crosby collected three assists for the Penguins,

who eclipsed their season- high for goals in a contest but still

have not won consecutive games since winning six in a row from

November 1-15.

Pittsburgh superstar Evgeni Malkin netted a goal and set up

another to increase his league-leading points total to 48.
