Flyers look to bounce back vs. lowly Islanders

NY Islanders (16-32-6) at Philadelphia (28-16-9), 1:00 p.m. EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia Flyers are coming off

an embarrassing loss to a lowly Eastern Conference foe. A

setback in their next game would be more humiliating.

Looking to bounce back from a poor effort that snapped a

two-game winning streak, the Flyers host the New York Islanders

on Saturday.

Lately, Philadelphia's struggles go beyond a 5-2 drubbing at the

hands of the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. It is in jeopardy of

enduring its first three-game home skid since an 0-2-1 stretch

from October 11-22.

The Flyers, who have dropped six of their last 11 overall, play

five of their next seven contests at home.

Meanwhile, the Islanders are slipping back into their dismal

ways after riding a season-high four-game winning streak. They

have lost four in a row - including Wednesday's 4-2 setback to

the New Jersey Devils.

With its latest disappointment, New York fell to 1-16-1 in its

last 18 road games and 6-20-2 overall away from home.
