MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens say Hockey Hall of Famer Tom Johnson has died. He was 79.
Johnson spent 15 of his 17 NHL seasons with the Canadiens before finishing his career with the Boston Bruins. The native of Baldur, Man., won six Stanley Cups as a player with the Canadiens.
He later worked for the Bruins after retiring and was in the front office when that franchise won its last two championships.
Johnson was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1970.
