Former Leaf Curtis Joseph to appear as guest judge on 'Battle of the Blades'

TORONTO - Former Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Curtis (Cujo) Joseph has been recruited as a guest judge for CBC-TV's "Battle of the Blades."

Joseph joins the kitschy reality series for Halloween-themed episodes Sunday and Monday.

This time, the episodes will feature the four pairs that were eliminated in previous battles, allowing them to compete for a chance to rejoin the top four in regular competition.

The reality series pairs former NHLers with past figure skating champs in weekly dance competitions.

Joseph, who announced his retirement in January after a 21-year career, also played for the St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Detroit Red Wings, Phoenix Coyotes and Calgary Flames.
