Former NHL player Tie Domi may sue son's coach after dispute at rink

Domi's lawyer says Lucas Miller, who coaches the team that Domi's 11-year-old son plays for, launched a public campaign to discredit the former hockey player.

Miller alleged Domi "went ballistic" after the team's loss in a key playoff game on Friday and that he thought he was going to be hit.

Domi's lawyer, Symon Zucker, says Domi and Miller had a disagreement over Miller's coaching skills, but that the suggestion of an assault or threatened assault is false.

In a press statement, Zucker said Miller reported his allegation to the media and that it was intended to embarass Domi. He said a police investigation found the allegation without substance.

The statement said Domi intended to take steps to seek damages for libel.

The president of the Greater Toronto Hockey League has said he isn't planning any action against Domi.
