Forward Alex Foster named captain of American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies

TORONTO - Forward Alex Foster will wear the 'C' for the Toronto Marlies this season.

Foster, 26, was selected as captain of the American Hockey League team Friday.

He served as the Marlies' assistant captain the past two seasons.

In 244 career games with the Marlies, Foster has 117 points (49 goals, 68 assists) and 175 penalty minutes.
