Forward Sergei Kostitsyn signs to three-year deal with Canadiens

Kostitsyn, 20, had 40 goals and a Canadian Hockey League-high 91 assists in 59 regular-season games with the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, good for third place in the OHL scoring race. The Belarus native then collected nine goals and 12 assists in 16 playoff games.

In two seasons with London, the six-foot, 190-pounder has 66 goals and 143 assists in 122 regular-season games.

He was selected by Montreal in the seventh round (200th overall) of the 2005 draft.
