RALEIGH, N.C. - Carolina Hurricanes forward Tuomo Ruutu returned to the lineup for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against Pittsburgh.

The physical forward missed Game 2 because of a lower-body injury sustained in the series opener.

He tested himself by skating Saturday morning, but Hurricanes coach Paul Maurice had said the team wouldn't decide Ruutu's status until game time Saturday night to make sure he didn't have swelling.
