Frozen Four at Ford Field will leave fans out in the cold

As a member of the paying public, I would like to voice my dismay with the NCAA’s choice of a football venue for next year’s Frozen Four tournament.

Billed as the “World’s largest hockey event,” hosting a hockey game in a 70,000-plus football arena is nothing but the epitome of greed by a monopolistic, overbearing organization – the NCAA.

Why hold this great annual event in Ford Field, an arena where only 10,000 fans will actually be able to follow the puck?

The recently held basketball tournament had horrible sight lines and a basketball is a heck of a lot bigger than a puck.

Quick, someone paint some Sioux-heads in the building and maybe the NCAA creeps will cancel.

The star-caliber players at the top of the Rangers lineup will need to be firing on all cylinders in this series in order to compensate for some lackluster depth in areas. And Igor Shesterkin needs to be the King he was in the regular season, too, to beat Carolina.
