TORONTO - Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final averaged 5.6 million viewers in Canada, according to the CBC.
The audience peaked at 7.7 million viewers as Saturday's 2-2 tie between the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins headed to overtime.
Vancouver's Alex Burrows scored the winner 11 seconds into OT.
The Canucks' 1-0 win in Game 1 averaged 5.6 million viewers and peaked at 7.8 million viewers.
The introduction of a new measuring system in September 2009 has seen sports TV ratings skyrocket in Canada.
