First Hockey Memory: "I think my dad (Gerry) teaching me to skate. When I was learning how to skate I had to learn on one of the pylons. Then he gave me a hockey stick and we got a puck out there. I just remember every time I'd go to take a shot I'd go sliding into the end boards. I didn't know how to stay up and take wrist shot at the same time. I don't think I was strong enough yet."
Hockey Inspirations: "My family has been a huge part. They always believed in me. A lot of my friends have been great. Obviously, you have the support of your family, that's a big inspiration. You gotta come out here and battle every night. Looking up to some great players when I was younger - Steve Yzerman, Joe Sakic, those guys were always fun to watch."
Last Book Read: "I'm reading the Cure For Everything right now. Before that it was Gone Girl."

Most Painful Moment: "I don't know. I don't have one yet. Can I pass on that one?"
Favorite Uniforms: "Ooooh, there's a lot of classics. Edmonton Oilers obviously first. And then after that...Chicago Blackhawks. They're classic."
Why Do You Love Playing Hockey: "I just love the game. I like being around the guys, the camaraderie. The competing. It's something I love doing. I don't know why. It's something ingrained, I think, in a lot of hockey players."
Most Memorable Goal: "First NHL goal."
Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "One time in minor hockey I was skating down the ice and my pants like fell down, my belt wasn't tight enough. My pants slid down."
Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: "Golf."
Three Athletes You Like To Watch & Follow: "I find athletes are usually pretty boring. Who's a good one...Jose Canseco is like hilarious. I wouldn't look for him for any inspiration but he's just funny. The stuff he says on Twitter. LeBron James. And Paul Bissonnette. Some guys with a lot of personality. I don't like when a lot of guys Tweet out 'Great win.' I like people who are a little more sarcastic, make some jokes on there and stuff."
First Famous Player You Met or Encountered: "It was a junior hockey player in my city...it was probably...Chris Phillips."
Funniest Players Encountered: "Probably Keith Yandle in Arizona."
Fiercest Competitors Encountered: "Shane Doan."
Strangest Game: "I remember the lights went out at one point. I don't even remember what league. I think it was in the American League. I have no idea where or when. But I remember half the lights went out, like half the lights on one side of the stadium went out."
Personality Qualities Most Admired: "Loyalty. Honesty. Trust."
