Goalie Timo Pielmeier scores empty-net goal for Bakersfield Condors
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - Bakersfield goalie Timo Pielmeier scored an empty-net goal in the Condors' 6-4 victory over the Utah Grizzlies on Saturday night in the ECHL.
With Utah goalie Parker Van Buskirk off for an extra attacker, Pielmeier fired the puck the length of the ice to score with five seconds left.
Pielmeier made 26 saves for the victory. The 20-year-old former German junior star was drafted 83rd overall by San Jose in 2007, then traded to Anaheim last March.
