Goalies Huet and Fleury, forward Hornqvist named NHL three stars of the week
NEW YORK - Goaltender Cristobal Huet of the Chicago Blackhawks was named the National Hockey League's first star of the week Monday after posting a pair of shutouts last week.
Huet made 27 saves in a 3-0 win over the St. Louis Blues last Wednesday. He stopped 20 shots in a 3-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
Huet is working on an active shutout streak of 141 minutes 21 seconds. His personal best is 173:30 set with the Montreal Canadiens in February 2006.
The second star went to goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Right-winger Patric Hornqvist of the Nashville Predators was named third star.
Fleury won all three of his starts last week. He posted a 1.26 goals-against average and .957 save percentage over the stretch.
Hornqvist led all scorers last week with seven points (four goals, three assists) to help the Predators win four straight games.
