Habs should leave vintage jerseys in the past
T.J. Kingston, Whitby, Ont.
As I sat at a friend’s on Halloween night watching my Toronto Maple Leafs take on their rivals, the Montreal Canadiens, there was one thing I could not get over throughout the entire game: The vintage jerseys that the Montreal Canadiens were wearing.
They had to have been the ugliest jerseys I have ever seen an NHL team wear. Someone needs to tell whoever picked out the jerseys that vintage is not an antonym for attractive.
Toronto and Montreal have such a great rivalry and there's a certain feeling one gets when they see the two teams’ jerseys on the ice together.
Why take that feeling away? Sometimes things are left in the past for a reason.
