Habs Tanguay, Schneider sit out playoff game with upper body injuries

MONTREAL - Forward Alex Tanguay and defenceman Mathieu Schneider, both said to be suffering from "upper body" injuries, were surprise scratches for the Montreal Canadiens for Game 3 of their playoff series against the Boston Bruins.

The team gave no further information on the two players, who both played the opening two games of the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series.

Tanguay sat out the final game of the regular season, while Schneider missed two of the last four regular season contests with what was believed to be a shoulder injury.
