Henrik Lundqvist made a monster scorpion-kick save against Boston
New York's Henrik Lundqvist has been a premier netminder for more than decade now, but he can still break the lights on Broadway when he needs to. Check out this save on Boston's Max Talbot from Monday:
Scorpion kick! Other than the flashy 1980s-style glove save, is there a more satisfying stop? It's like you have lured the shooter into a false sense of security. Ha ha, the goalie is down and out. All I have to do is raise the puck a little and…Nooooooooooo!
Fun fact: Lundqvist has recorded at least 30 wins in every full NHL season he has played, including his 2005-06 rookie campaign. And in the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season, he had 24 in 43 games to lead the league. He has 19 victories so far this season, putting him on pace to eclipse 30 wins once again.
