Hitter should be out as long as hitee

Why is the NHL letting all these cheap shots and hits from behind go on?

The way I see it is when a player gets injured and is forced out of action, the player that hit him should be out as just long, and without pay.

This has to stop before someone gets seriously injured, or even killed.

Todd Bertuzzi should not be playing anymore, as well as countless other players that have caused injuries.

When will the league and its players stand up and do the right thing?
