NHL-Suspended Carolina F Scott Walker for one game, without pay, for a head-butting incident in a game on Dec. 12.

ATLANTA THRASHERS-Assigned LW Tomas Pospisil from Chicago (AHL) to Gwinnett (ECHL).

CALGARY FLAMES-Recalled D Adam Pardy from Quad City (AHL).

EDMONTON OILERS-Announced D Allan Rourke cleared waivers and has been assigned to Springfield (AHL).

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS-Signed C Mike Richards to a 12-year contract extension, through the 2019-20 season.

ST. LOUIS BLUES-Named Michael McCarthy vice chairman.

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS-Sent F Bates Battaglia to Toronto (AHL) on a conditioning assignment.

American Hockey League

BRIDGEPORT SOUND TIGERS-Released F Gregg Johnson.

CHICAGO WOLVES-Assigned C Matt Anderson to Gwinnett (ECHL).

ECHL

ECHL-Suspended Bakersfield LW Mark Derlago one game and fined him an undisclosed amount, suspended Fresno D Matt O'Dette one game and fined the Bakersfield organization an undisclosed amount for the fight that broke out in their game on Dec. 12.
